In order to raise public awareness about Anzali Wetland conservation, second environmental education program has been conducted for the village headmen in Masal at the Environmental Education Centre, located in Selke Wildlife Refuge.
This program was carried out by DOE Masal in cooperation with DOE Gilan, DOE Astane and JICA Expert Team on 18th November, 2015.
JICA Expert Team supported the program entirely. Mr. Rahnama from DOE Gilan explained the experiences of the training in Japan. Mr. Watanabe explained the history of JICA cooperation and importance of the Anzali Wetland based on the results of ecosystem survey as a Joint Pilot Activity. Mr. Allahyari from DOE Astaneh lectured good practices of waste management such as vermin compost in Astaneh.
