A water quality monitoring workshop was held under Monitoring Working Group of Wetland Ecosystem Conservation Sub-Committee at DOE Gilan’s auditorium on 22nd October. More than 30 experts from Department of Environment, Gilan Water and Wastewater Company, Rural Water and Wastewater Company, Gilan Regional Water Company and National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute participated in the workshop.
Dr. Horie who is a Japanese expert on water quality management made a keynote lecture at the beginning of the workshop. He lectured on case studies of water quality management and water quality modelling in Japan.
Later on, how to enhance accuracy of water quality measurement was discussed among the SC members focusing on water quality monitoring of the Anzali Wetland.
