Development of Ecotourism Center in Jirsar Baghakhaleh Village

The Joint Pilot Activities

Purpose: To establish a base for ecotourism activity such as preparation, receipt and instruction to tourists, some activities, meetings, and office & storage
Outcome: The Ecotourism Center was opened in Jirsar Baghakhaleh Village on 23rd April 2017. Kayak station and storage, toilets with septic tanks, fence, gazebo and promotional signboard were installed.
Future Plan: Guideline of the center operation by villagers and stakeholders will be formulated.
Topic: As well as other tourist sites, more people visits weekends, Thursday and Friday and holiday times. Based on the report from the Ecotourism Center Staff, approximately 200-300 visitors visit daily every weekend from July 2017 to February 2018. During Nowruz holidays 2018, average of 500 visitors visited every day. The maximum number of visitors was over 2,000 during Nature Day on 2nd April 2018.
