Birds, seen in the late summer

Some birds were observed in the lagoon of Anzali Wetland in the late August in the turn of the seasons for birds.
Summer visiting birds were still seen in the wetland such as Squacco Heron and Whiskered Tern. They would leave to southern countries soon.
Beautiful resident bird, Common Kingfisher is always a delight for people to watch. Osprey is passenger bird and one of the eagles which grasps and eats fish in the wetland.
Some winter visitor birds such as Common Coot and some Ducks have already arrived. Greater Flamingos were flying, which winters recently in the Anzali Wetland.
More migratory birds will come and crowd in the Anzali Wetland soon.
