From 20th to 23rd February 2016, Earth Week Exhibition was held at Kioumars Saberi (Gol-Agha) Art School in Rasht as the educational activity on environment conservation by Educational Organization (EO). The purpose of this event is to open students’ eyes to environmental issues through their activities in making posters. JICA Expert Team (JET) joined this event in order to introduce Anzali Wetland and Anzali Wetland Ecological Management Project to the students.
Many students from different schools learned the importance of Anzali Wetland and its ecological management as well as different kinds of living things, especially birds, human activities in the Anzali Wetland and information about Kushiro Wetland, one of the largest wetlands in Japan, by means of banners, booklets, and videos. What students can do for the environmental conservation for Anzali Wetland is limited, but they can tell their families about their beautiful and valuable natural resources, as the first step towards making the current situation better.
